How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
The one thing that worries even the most adventurous traveller are those first couple of hours in a new country.  The most frequent question on The Watering Hole is “How am I going to get to the hotel from the airport?” Well, we’ve made it easy.

Purchase an arrival transfer.  With our arrival transfers, you have nothing to worry about.  All you need to do once you get to the arrival lounge is to find the person holding up the G.A.P Adventures sign.  We take care of the rest.

What will my group be like?
Our trips attract like-minded people from all over the world.  You are all joined by a common curiosity to escape the walls of your everyday life and venture out to experience the world.  Many of our travellers find friends for life.

How do I find out more about the trip?
You can easily connect with people on your trip or talk to others who have travelled in that part of the world by visiting our online forum – The Watering Hole.  They can provide valuable advice on what to do, places to go, how to exchange your money and anything else you can think of to ask.

How do I find my group?
When you arrive at the hotel, just look for the sign that says G.A.P Adventures.  You will find info about where to meet your group for the orientation meeting. At this meeting, you will gather at a lounge or cafe near the hotel.  The leader will welcome you to the area, tell you a bit about the exciting things coming up and collect your local payment.  Afterwards, he/she will generally direct you to some of their favourite eating spots and arrange for the next morning’s activities.

Will I pay more as a single traveller?
No, we don’t believe that you should be penalized because you are travelling alone – you should celebrate!  So, there is no single supplement on most trips.  You will be paired up with another single traveller of the same sex to share a room. Your roommate may rotate based on how many single travellers you have on your trip.
