It all began in 1993. Urban City Coffee Roasters started a grand love affair for creating incredible coffee blends with beans from around the earth. The founder at the time had a small coffee shop and decided that he wanted the sole creation of his coffees served to his customers, to be produced with his artful hands. He bought a small 10 pound roaster and in the middle of the night when the family was sleeping, he would begin to create. The masterfully bold and smooth coffees that we enjoy today are the result of his passion for the art of coffee. His attention to detail and innovative roasting methods are tasted in each cup poured, and are the result of many award winning blends. Urban City Coffee Roasters unconditionally guarantees the absolute freshest, highest quality coffees you will ever find. Nicaragua is a fairly new entry into the coffee export world, and they have made quite a splash already. Some experts say that this coffee can give Kona a run for it’s money, but I guess time will tell. The SHG (Strictly High Grown) grade here is especially important, as the highest grown coffees of Nicaragua do not develop the high acidity that is associated with many Central American coffees.
