I find that these charcoal filters need to be changed quarterly, at the most. Of course, your mileage may vary, based on the quality of your water.

I have these for my Breville Keurig machine, and they work great. I change them about about every two to three months, and I haven’t had any issue with them. The filtering system is one of the reasons I went for the Breville over the Keurig brand machines.

Its the best coffee maker around. A little expensive, but worth it. I love all the Breville items. This has proved to be money well spent. Great coffee at all times, easy on the eye, we are 100 percent happy with this purchase.

I have tried a number of pod single serve coffeemakers; but after much research based on Amazon reviews such as this, I bought the Breville. With the K-cups you have much more of a variety of coffees than with other coffeemaker brands. My only negative comment is that when it first starts to brew it vibrates and the base rattles and is a bit noisy. Other than that it is really the perfect coffeemaker.

We use a PUR filter on our tap, which basically does the same thing as this, as such, we do not replace the Breville filter as often as the manufacturer suggests. I hope the Breville filter police do not find out.
