Nice variety, a terrific way to try a few of the heavenly Halo offerings. They fit a Senseo perfectly, and deliver a smooth cup of coffee with enough foam to support a dash of cinnamon or cocoa.

Look closely at the “product specifications” blurb. This item is listed as a 6 pack, but contains only 3, and NO Kona Dark (WHICH IS THE REASON I BOUGHT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.) It contains one pack Columbian, and 2 packs of World Roast.
I have absolutely no issue with the coffee itself… it really is top-notch. But the description is so misleading, it bears this “buyer beware”.

High quality varieties of coffee from a company with a strong social conscience to boot? Sign this bleeding heart up! Sadly, as some reviews on other pods offered by this coffee have mentioned, the flavor doesn’t quite stand up to the ethics, at least to my preferences.
This is strong acid coffee with a significant bitter taste and not wonderful aroma (the unbrewed pods did smell nice though). If you’re the type that likes French or Italian roast, or are generally an espresso drinker, perhaps this will be a better fit for you (I prefer medium roasts in general).
Part of the issue may be that there seems to be more grinds packed into the pod than in other pods I’ve used – increasing the water volume to 8 oz/10 oz made the coffee more drinkable, but the strong bitter note and aroma remained.
I tried all three varieties in this pack before giving up – they all shared the bitter problem to roughly the same degree. I usually take my coffee with just a splash of 2% milk, but this coffee had me adding cream and sugar to mask the bitterness.
If you like your coffee feel-good and fortissimo, this might be a good variety pack to try. But for medium roasters like me, it seems a bit much.

The Kona dark blend compares well against the Senseo brand Dark Roast. The Cafe Halo has a slightly more complex flavor and finish. Though it’s similar, I prefer it slightly to the Senseo dark roast. It may be a touch more bitter, but I’m not sure.
The pods fit perfectly in my Senseo maker. They are just a touch larger than the Senseo brand pods.

I’m more of a mild to medium coffee drinker, but for the sale price at the time, thought I’d try these for my pod machine which I hadn’t used before. All the varieties were just too strong for my liking, but if you like strong, dark roasts, they may well be a good choice.
