Special Reserve Colombian Flor de Cauca Coffee

Special Reserve Colombian Flor Cauca Coffee
Flor de Cauca (Floor-de-Cawka) – Aromatics of dried orange peel, raisin, and brown sugar are beautifully harmonized by flavors of black cherry, blackberry, juicy citrus, and toasted walnut. A milk chocolatey body and dry sherry fi nish complete this elegant and balanced cup.

We can’t think of a better way to start the new year, and our 2009 season of Special Reserve coffees, then with this sunny, warming cup – Flor de Cauca. Grown in the Valle de Cauca region in Western Colombia and warmed by Pacific breezes, this Fair Trade Certified ™ coffee is raised organically by a number of indigenous populations, among them the Guambianos.

Its fragrance is expressly floral, with notes of jasmine and coffee flower in full blossom. This is a snappy, sunny, clean cup, with flavors of green melon, grape and a gracious note of rosehips. The cup pleasingly round-bodied, and has a note of buttery caramel in its finish.
